SYNOPSIS

TURTLE ISLAND RAP is a 90-minute documentary following three Indigenous rappers as they navigate the pressures of the music industry, confront colonial barriers, and use hip-hop as a vehicle for identity, sovereignty, and self-determination. Blending performance, vérité storytelling, and intimate moments from home and stage, the film captures the urgency, vulnerability, and power of a generation shaping contemporary Indigenous culture.
